It's the last day already! Hasn't the past 2 weeks flown by? I shall really miss watching the sportsmen and women, and I didn't think I would. I nearly cried as I saw Mo Farah win the 5000 last night, (isn't his little girl a darling and his brave wife - imminently expecting twins - wow!!!). I was on the edge of my seat watching Tom Daly, and the result was wonderful - such camaraderie between all the divers and their coaching teams - so much hugging and that hilarious bit when they all jumped in the pool fully clothed (well apart from TomD who was obviously in his speedos).

I now looking forward to seeing the highlights all over again, because I'm sure that I missed so much ....

hi Sylvia,

really didn't think i would enjoy the Olympic's as much as i have .. i was on holiday for the fortnight but managed to catch the big events at the hotel.

i was also tearful watching Mo last night and couldn't believe just how much dedication has paid off as he knew exactly what he was going to do, he gave a fantastic interview this morning and he is a lovely man.

thought the dressage ( what i saw of it ) was fantastic too .. how those lovely horses perform.

and the Queen was a star at the opening ceremony!

What a fantastic two weeks it has been, all well organised.
Really enjoyed watching Mo last night, what a nice man he is.
Have been at my sisters this weekend and we were all shouting at the tv last night.
It's been great watching so many different sports, everyone has worked so hard.
Back home to London later today, hopefully just in time for the closing ceremony.
I think we should all be very proud of our sports men & women.

I feel at a bit of a loss now it's all over, but I'm going to find out about getting para-olympic tickets next. I'd really like to see some athletics in that superb stadium!

I admit to being one of the cynics when we first got the Olympics but once I started watching it I was hooked.I was in tears several times during the opening ceremony. Of course we couldn't compete with the Beijing one but Seb Coe never intended to. Ours was every bit as good ( if not better)- in different ways. And so much for the predicted public transport disaster!

I was so moved by the achievements and the way the crowds got behind everyone- makes you proud to be British! I really regret not getting tickets now.

Suzanne- I too loved the dressage and was amazed by the skill of the horses and riders: that sequence to music from the Lion King was awesome!

i was on holiday for the last 4 days but managed to catch some of it on TV in the hotel.

Can't wait for the paralympics.
